Debra Pettit, founder of THE PETTIT REALTY GROUP, began her real estate career when her youngest daughter went to college in 2010. Specializing in farm and ranch and country subdivisions in Northern Collin and Grayson Counties, Debra is just as comfortable listing and selling metroplex properties. Clients and others say she is a tireless worker, friendly helper, knowledgeable, caring, and say, "she knows everyone!". She proudly works under the brokerage of Paragon Realtors, The Pettit Realty Group in Van Alstyne, Texas. Paragon Realtors is strongly established throughout Dallas, Sherman, and Denison, Texas.  The PETTIT REALTY GROUP is a cohesive team of active agents who live in North Texas..  Debra, Randy, Lydia, Casey, and Kimberly are the faces representing The PETTIT REALTY GROUP across Grayson, Colllin, Dallas, Fannin and Denton Counties.  Debra truly believes that, “We are stronger together.”

Debra and her family moved to Van Alstyne (north of McKinney) 22 years ago after living in the Lake Highlands area of Dallas for 15 years. It wasn't just a move, it was a lifestyle change. Little did she know how quickly Van Alstyne and the resulting relationships would own her heart. Those relationships launched, and continue to cultivate, her real estate career. She enjoys introducing "city folks" to North Texas by connecting them to community and quality country living. Her experience of moving from the city to Van Alstyne 22 years ago has proved valuable when helping families find "their next front porch" in North Texas. Claiming dual citizenship in Van Alstyne and Dallas, she still loves selling city properties as well. Fun fact, Debra' and Randy's daughters are 5th generation Dallasites. Debra and Randy were born at Baylor Hospital in Dallas just 4 months apart. 

Debra is well known and recognizable for her online marketing. She enjoys finding creative and effective ways to promote her listings. Debra's online promotion has been key in making her the top listing and selling agent for several years in the Van Alstyne ISD area, the Top Producer in all of Grayson County for several years as well many years as a D Magazine Top Producer.  Her knowledge of local school districts, upcoming building projects and city plans has been instrumental in answering clients many questions when relocating their family. She is a constant student of the market. It is very helpful that her husband  Randy is a real estate appraiser as well as being a licensed Realtor. His knowledge and perspective of the market has been invaluable. 

Outside of real estate, Debra currently serves on the Van Alstyne ISD Education Foundation Board, the Van Alstyne Chamber of Commerce, and she is a member of MetroTex and has her GRI designation. Her favorite activity outside of real estate is hosting church small groups in their home and of course hosting their grown daughters whenever time allows. She graduated from Lake Highlands High School and Baylor University where she was a Journalism major, a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and was on the Swim Team. She has taught swimming lessons every summer since 1977.

Randy has his Masters Degree in Land Economics and Real Estate from Texas A&M University.

He has been a Commercial and Land Appraiser for 38 years. He is a consultant for our team, as well as being a Commercial Realtor. He is our go-to guy for commercial buying and selling, commercial leases, and farm and ranch properties. He has also participated in training classes for our brokerage. His real estate experience has been extremely valuable for our clients and our team. Randy has been a member of the Van Alstyne Planning and Zoning Commission and enjoys consulting for new real estate development. 

When he's not working in real estate, he enjoys leading in his local church, playing several musical instruments, hunting, landscape design, and mentoring younger men. He and Debra have 2 grown daughters as well as a fabulous son-in-law. 

Lydia Pettit Volz

Lydia is in her 9th year of real estate.  She's a dynamo in the Dallas and Richardson market. She's super smart and is a keen student of real estate. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Baylor University in Interior Design. The cross over into real estate has been a wonderful way for her to serve her clients. She's been a diligent bird dog in this difficult market for her clients. She was honored to be chosen last year as Best of D Magazine. Lydia comes from a real estate family, hence the maiden name.  Lydia and her husband Connor have a Golden gal named Autumn, who keeps us all entertained.

Real estate has always been a dream career and passion for Casey. She joined the Pettit Realty Group with over 12 years of experience in corporate retail buying, planning, and marketing. She now brings this valuable experience to the real estate world where her heart is helping her clients find the home that will last a lifetime. Casey is a graduate of Texas A&M University, class of 2003 (whoop!) and a native to the DFW area. She grew up in Carrollton and has lived in Dallas, Allen, Frisco, and currently resides Van Alstyne. Her knowledge of the city life, and the country life, is perfect for helping her clients buy and sell their homes in many different markets. Her husband of 10 years and 3 kids recently transformed and remodeled 2 small cottages into the family farmhouse of their dreams. Her inspiration came from her favorite show "Fixer Upper".  She loves to share her experience, and doesn't want her clients to be intimidated by a house that might need a little TLC. When she's not working, you are likely going to find her at a softball rournament or watching one of her 3 kids in all of their activities. She is active in her church and is on the board of directors for the Van Alstyne Education Foundation.

Connor is in his first year of real estate and primarily serves as a licensed assistant to his wife, Lydia. Connor is a seasoned leader in the business appraisal and corporate transaction spaces. Connor has his Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance from SMU in Dallas. His strengths include attention to detail and pushing processes forward. He and Lydia have called Dallas their home all of their lives, and call Richardson home now. Outside of business endeavors, Connor can be found serving in certain ministries, lifting weights in his garage gym, and dreaming about the next time he gets to go snow skiing.
